I’m John King, founder of Green Commercial Capital and the author of every post on this blog.
I’ve been working in commercial lending since 1996 — first as a mortgage banker, then transitioning to commercial and SBA specialty lending in 2009 with the formation of Green Commercial Capital. Since then, I’ve focused almost exclusively on SBA 7a and SBA 504 transactions, helping business owners nationwide navigate the financing process and connect with the right lender.
I founded GCC with a straightforward premise: business owners deserve clear, honest information about SBA financing — and access to lenders who can actually close their deal — without paying a broker fee to get it.
What I specialize in:
- Business acquisitions using SBA 7a financing
- SBA Construction Financing
- SBA loans for specialty property types: Assisting Living/Senior Care, RV parks, Campgrounds, Manufacturing Facilities, Self-Storage Facilities, RV and Boat Storage, etc.
- SBA 504 loans for owner-occupied commercial real estate
- SBA 504 and 7a refinancing
- Complex transactions involving online and e-commerce businesses, partner buyouts and seller financing
I write this blog to share what I’ve learned over the years — in plain English, without the jargon, and without holding anything back. If you can figure out the answer on your own after reading something here, that’s a win. If you need help putting a deal together, I’m available for that too.
Green Commercial Capital is based in the Metro Atlanta area and works with borrowers nationwide.
